Brandon is a Richmond, VA based filmmaker, photographer and online content creator.
His work has been widely recognized online, with the 2013 stop-motion animated Squadron 13: Infiltration becoming a YouTube sensation. His channel BKMPictures is growing and has over 4,000,000 total views and over 9,000 subscribers.
He has also received many accolades for his short film work. Along with collaborator Kat Vlasova, he co-created the short film Pencils that was one of ten showcased at the 2016 TriBeCa Film Festival in New York. The competition, to create a film entirely with the app Snapchat, was judged by industry professionals including actor Steve Buscemi, actress Jessica Alba, and rapper DJ Khaled. While attending the festival, he, Vlasova, and the other finalists were given an opportunity by Samsung to utilize their pre-production 360° virtual reality cameras to create another short film in the span of 24 hours. Of the resulting films, their’s was selected in the top 3.
His work has also been recognized by various other film festivals, having shot the 2016 VHSL Film Festival winner Sunland, and shorts like 1066, On Your Own, and From Within receiving accolades from local festivals like the Video Fairfax Awards.
The videos created for the Virginia-based startup The Purrfect Pup, which specializes in autonomous pet training, were featured in campaigns that led to the startup becoming contestants in the 2018 season of Shark Tank.
